Holly Hock

Holly Hock is a screen printer and stencil artist based in Rotterdam. The alias HollyHock is based on the name of the Alcea rosea, which grows very well in an urban environments like Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Holly finds the combination of the urban environment with the colorful flowers similar to the combination of street art and so HollyHock was born.

You may notice that most of the time women are the subject of the artists work. This is not intentional and certainly nothing to the detriment of men. It is true that Holly likes powerful, special, and colorful women, with humor and full of emotions, which you can never really fathom.
