Apopriation’ is a new series by Zoë Moss. It is a set of works that appropriates pop artists’ work in the same way they themselves used elements of popular culture in their own practice. The pieces are photorealist oil paintings of such artworks, enclosed in a glass bell jar that both preserves the art and displays it for all to behold. From Koons to Kusama, it highlights the recognisable imagery of todays art market and puts it under the bell jar.
